Get ready to shop till you drop, all just a walk away from our apartments here at The Forge…
Fenwick Food Hall
The Fenwick Christmas Window launch surely marks the start of the festive season in Newcastle, right? What better way to kick off your Christmas shopping than with a stop off to see it first-hand, before ducking into the Food Hall where there’s bits and pieces the likes of mum and dad will love. Impress with something from Fenwick’s brand new food range – you could even make up your own hamper if you’re feeling creative with items like their homemade mince pies and hand roasted coffee.
Go for something a little different and give the gift of an experience. What could be better than a chocolate making workshop? Hosted by Paris trained Zoe, head to her gorgeous store on Westgate Road to purchase a voucher. You may as well treat yourself to some of her handcrafted chocolate whilst you’re there, call it an early advent calendar?!
For all-things ‘Toon’ head to Geordie Gift’s little shop in the Grainger Market. Whether you’re shopping for a gift for a Geordie through and through or something funny for an out of towner, their gift range of everything from mugs and homeware to cards, baubles and souvenirs are decorated with proper Geordie phrases… all we’re saying is howay in a manger, pet!
intu Eldon Square
You’ll be familiar with the high street favourites here stocked with all of the classic gift options from perfumes and PJs to posh chocolate. After a successful shopping trip why not swing by the new après ski bar at the Christmas Market near the entrance right by Grey’s Monument for a tipple or two.
That’s right, we’re suggesting Greggs – the King of pastry here in Newcastle! Fresh from launching the iconic Festive Bake, gift cards have hit the shelves – perfect for a secret Santa present or if there’s someone in the family who just loves a pasty! If you’re looking for a more Northern gift this Christmas, we don’t think you’ll find one!
Now then, that’s the Christmas shopping sorted – you can thank us later!
